Services for Event Coordinators

Children's Literature has developed a new way to make your author/illustrator visits more successful. For the last ten years, we have assisted schools, museums, and conference planners in identifying authors and illustrators for speaking engagements. In addition, Children's Literature frequently handles book sales at these events and has developed a turnkey approach that makes its service attractive to school media specialists, PTA volunteers, other event coordinators, and authors/illustrators. At this time Children's Literature is pleased to announce this new dimension to its business. The goal of our new business venture is to make your author/illustrator speaking event a memorable one. We will accomplish this by:

• Providing written tips to the event coordinator to facilitate a successful visit;
• Providing a letter of agreement to be completed between your school/organization and the author/illustrator that spells out the requirements associated with the visit as well as the fee.
• Providing the sponsoring organization with guidance for taking care of all those annoying details such as, directions, parking, meals, set-up needs, bathroom-breaks, etc.; and
• Providing order forms to the event coordinator to facilitate the purchase and delivery of books should there be an autographing associated with the appearance.
